Systems of ventilation and air conditioning, heating

Ventilation is a set of measures and devices used to organize air exchange with the aim of ensuring acceptable meteorological, sanitary-hygienic, and technological conditions of the air environment in premises and workplaces according to state construction and sanitary standards.

Ventilation creates air exchange in the room to remove excess heat, moisture, harmful and other substances. Ventilation provides air environment conditions favorable for human health and well-being, meeting the requirements of the technological process, preservation of equipment and building structures, and the storage of materials, products, books, paintings, etc.

At the stage of designing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, all necessary requirement points for quality construction implementation of the facility must be taken into account.

Our company, BK "VIMALSPETSBUD," performs the full cycle of works related to the design, certification of systems, assistance in project approval, and engineering supervision of the facility until its commissioning. Performing design works according to customer requirements and modern standards, we carry out all tasks with high quality, considering that we will be implementing these solutions ourselves.

Our advantage is that we take into account all norms and requirements with the most modern systems and equipment. We perform comprehensive design of heating, ventilation, air conditioning systems, boiler rooms and furnace rooms, hot water supply, sewage, and smoke removal. We provide a complete package of design documentation for the listed sections. Before starting the design work, coordination is made with the customer on the principal schemes and equipment used, based on technical and economic feasibility. Design is carried out based on the technical assignment.

Design of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems is carried out in two stages
Stage one Second stage

At this stage, the selection and techno-economic justification of the system type are carried out based on approximate indicators. Technical areas for equipment placement are determined. Also, at the first approximation, the main system characteristics are defined: air flow rate, cooling and heating capacities, type and quantity of central or autonomous air conditioners, their placement, type and flow rate of heat and coolant carriers, type and number of refrigeration machines, pumps, installed electrical power, system mass. Simultaneously, a preliminary approximate system cost is established.

A preliminary system diagram is developed. After approval of the technical assignment by the customer, the working project is developed — the most responsible design stage..

The working design project is developed based on building layouts, thermal engineering characteristics of building structures, and the technological assignment. Calculations of heat and moisture emissions are performed, followed by the calculation of air exchange for each room to ensure the required parameters. Equipment is selected to provide the necessary air exchange and compensate for pressure losses in the network. The system type and schematic principle are finalized, including determining its characteristics, the number of air distributors, etc. Plans are drawn with equipment placement and the routing of air ducts and pipelines. Next, axonometric diagrams of air duct and pipeline networks are created. Aerodynamic and hydraulic calculations are performed. Noise levels are determined. Specifications for equipment, materials, fittings, etc., including manufacturer and cost information, are filled out. Based on this documentation, equipment orders are placed. This completes the design stage. The working drawings are handed over to installers on site.

Selection of ventilation systems depends on the purpose of the premises, the nature of the technological process, types of harmful emissions, etc. Based on this, they can be classified by the following characteristics:

By the method of creating pressure for air movement:

  • Natural draft. Natural draft is created by wind and gravity.
  • Mechanical (artificial) draft. Mechanical draft is provided by mechanical means—fans. This type also allows for pre-treatment of incoming air (heating, cooling) or filtering contaminated air before it is discharged into the atmosphere.

By the purpose of the ventilation system:

  • Supply ventilation. Supply ventilation delivers fresh air from outside.
  • Exhaust ventilation. Exhaust ventilation removes air from the premises to the outside.

Often these two types are combined. For example, supply-exhaust ventilation in a paint shop, where there is dust from grinding and mechanical processing, toxic fumes of paints and solvents, ensures fire safety, health protection, and comfortable working conditions for employees.

By service area:

  • Local ventilation. Local ventilation devices can supply air to a specific location or remove air from places where harmful emissions and impurities are generated. The simplest example is a household kitchen hood over a stove.
  • General ventilation. Unlike local ventilation, general ventilation uniformly takes in and supplies air over the entire area of the room.

By design, ventilation systems can be ducted and ductless. Ductless systems are characterized by air being removed and supplied through special openings in enclosing structures. Installation of ductless systems requires ventilation channels—ducts and shafts.

Installation of ventilation systems

Our company, BK "VIMALSPETSBUD", offers full-cycle services in designing and installing various ventilation systems. Qualified employees perform high-quality, professional, and affordable installation work of any complexity, following both customers’ typical projects and our own designs, including ventilation dismantling.

If you need ventilation installation at home (cottage or apartment), enterprise, office, or production facility, we can offer professional household ventilation installation. Our specialists will carry out all stages: design, equipment supply, and installation.

If you require a full range of such services, we provide turnkey solutions—from documentation development to commissioning under the supervision of experienced engineers. For partial needs, we provide services tailored to your requirements.

We understand that installing ventilation systems for residential, office, industrial, workshop, and enterprise spaces is a very responsible task since the health and well-being of people living or working there depends on the proper functioning of these systems. We perform this responsibility excellently, ensuring excellent ventilation.

You can order industrial ventilation installation from us. We perform work in accordance with the specifics of production, ensuring optimal air exchange and fresh air supply. Industrial ventilation installation is very specialized and requires a professional approach—we have a team capable of successfully handling these tasks.

Installation of heating systems

Quality installation of heating systems is a necessary stage to maintain comfort, coziness, and life activities, while significantly saving costs by utilizing new technologies that allow controlling temperature, humidity, air purity, and many other parameters in homes and premises of various purposes.

However, managing these parameters should be considered at the design stage, long before finishing works, because cables or pipes not planned at design stage will spoil the look or become impossible to install without damaging finishes or screeds, walls, and ceilings.

Our company engages in designing, installing, commissioning, and repairing engineering systems. Over years in the market, we have accumulated extensive experience designing and installing heating systems in country houses, offices, apartments, cottages, and production facilities. We are always ready to assist in various, including non-standard, situations involving correction and repair of existing systems during installation ordered by you.

Building codes, sanitary-hygienic standards, and production technological requirements regulate ventilation system requirements: They establish maximum allowable concentrations of harmful substances, air temperature, maximum humidity, noise level produced by the ventilation system, and other parameters depending on the purpose of the premises. Different countries set different standards for air exchange per person.
