Operating principle and main components of the receiving bunker
The raw material (root crops, bulk or piece goods, etc.) is unloaded into the loading hopper (bunker) either by various transport means, container tipper, or manually. From there, the material proceeds onto a belt or screw conveyor. The height from the floor to the loading hopper is adjustable stepwise to increase or decrease the loading position. The unloading height of the container is regulated by changing the angle and length of the discharge chute.
Depending on the type of raw material and its intended use, different conveyor equipment is installed beneath the receiving hopper. Most commonly, belt conveyors with various types of conveyor belts (chevron, smooth, or bar-type) are used. The conveyor belt is driven by transferring rotational motion from an electric motor or motor-reducer to the drive drum, causing the belt to move.
The product (raw material) is moved at a controlled speed to the unloading section, from where it proceeds to the next stages of the technological process — washing, polishing, dry cleaning, or sorting.

- Installation of a brush enables continuous cleaning of the lower conveyor belt during its rotation;
